Namecheap, Inc. is a very popular ICANN-accredited registrar, which provide services on domain name registration and offer for sale domain names that are registered to third parties. What started 18 years ago by Richard Kirkendall in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, is now a company that claims to manage more than seven million domain names for 4 million customers. Though Namecheap’s core business is domain registry services, it provides additional services including web hosting, email hosting, security and cloud-based services.
Important Features Offered by Namecheap
Most of Namecheap’s standard (shared) hosting features are similar to its competitors. Each hosting plan comes with the industry-leading cPanel that is the most easy-to-use control panel and the control centre for customers’ accounts, allowing them to create and manage their email, FTP, MySQL databases, application and more with the least effort being made. Furthermore, a Softaculous 1-click WordPress installer is integrated with cPanel, which enables customers to install this software with a few clicks, within 1 minute.
Integration with Google Apps and CloudFlare (Business plan). For those not familiar, CloudFlare provides a content delivery network (CDN) and distributed domain name server (DNS) services, sitting between the visitor and the CloudFlare user’s hosting provider, acting as a reverse proxy for websites.
Besides the user-friendly control panel and installer, all the solutions come with unlimited monthly data transfer and parked domains. Additionally, each plan is featured with SSH to guarantee the security of remote management.

The user support on NameCheap is quite debatable. Though it provides excellent 24/7 chat support, a considerate amount of people do not like it. The problem being, people are not much accustomed to the chat support feature and rely on calling services. NameCheap being an independent company, doesn’t provide cellular call support due to lack of over the seas reach. Nevertheless, if you are someone who can pull off a chat easily, you shouldn’t be having any issues.
